5 ways to make your mobile catering business more eco-friendly

It’s important to always look for little ways to make your business more sustainable and environmentally friendly. We are all in this together, so making our world a better place to live in is something we should all strive for. Even if it’s just little changes here and there, if everyone’s doing it, we will all see a change.

Here are 5 ways to make your mobile catering business more eco-friendly:

  1. Eco-friendly packaging and cutlery

One thing to think about is how you present your food, can you choose a greener way of packaging your food. Wooden cutlery perhaps? Eco-friendly tableware might even end up being a cheaper alternative too, it could be a win-win.

  1. Use sustainable suppliers

On that note, source locally from sustainable suppliers as much as you can. Not only does it help local small businesses, but again, your cost could potentially go down, and you will be helping to protect our planet.

  1. Offer plant based options

When it comes to your menu, perhaps add a few plant based options. This is more sustainable because they use substantially less natural resources and are less taxing on the environment.

  1. Reduce your waste

Try to reduce your waste as much as you can, make sure to recycle, compost, or come up with some kind of way to use your food waste elsewhere.

  1. Consider your fuel options

Finally, try switching to electric or sustainable fuel options, if you can. Of course, getting a new vehicle isn’t always viable, or even the most sustainable option in some cases, however, when it is eventually time to make a vehicle switch, make sure to consider all your electric options.
